This exercise is to reflect on my sketchbooks and learning, as well as to think about what I want for my future sketchbooks and my last assignment of this elective.
List of materials and processes I feel connected with:
Charcoal was very fun to play with, it's loose and great for observational drawing
Acrylic paint, a medium I am somewhat used to but would like to grow in confidence.
Watercolour, sometimes fun but learning it a little more would be nice-- just to see if it's truly my style.
Pencil, I can't go without using pencil.
Observational drawing in public, it made me feel relaxed and reflective on life-- feeling sonder.

Even though I used this table to list the exercises/processes I did or didn't enjoy, I feel like my sketchbook has become quite open to what the content is and what style.
At first my sketchbooks were purely for learning and thumbnailing/planning, however now, it's filled with so much more-- there are painting studies, life drawings, life drawings as well as forming ideas.
Lately, I've been doing more fast-paced drawings to get better at drawing people, doing classes on life drawing. I've been exploring more and relying less on making my sketchbook perfect. I've been so open in my sketchbooks, emotionally and stylistically, and for this assignment I want to explore even further.
I would like to explore exercises like "using basic narrative structure", "fill it up", "observation- typography", "investigating a process".
Goals/Objective based on feedback:
Draw more on location (very important)
Explore new materials more extensively (but keeping it fun)
Return to older projects with fresh eyes
Push materials further and go deeper with research the newer materials and styles.
